Join the Team That’s Building Australia’s Future

At O’Niels Civil, we’re proud to be part of Australia’s growing civil infrastructure landscape — delivering high-quality excavation, drainage, and construction projects across the nation.
We’re currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join our expanding team and play a key role in managing the financial and contractual side of our civil construction projects.

If you have a sharp eye for detail, a strong understanding of civil construction contracts, and the drive to help deliver complex projects efficiently and profitably, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contractual and commercial aspects of assigned projects.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Teams to ensure project documentation, cost tracking, and subcontractor management are handled accurately and efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in civil or infrastructure projects who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and manage subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and variations
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors on contractual matters
  • Assist in progress claims, invoicing, and project cost reporting
  • Support Project Managers with contract administration and documentation
  • Track project deliverables, milestones, and deadlines
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and quality standards

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator in the civil construction industry
  • Strong understanding of civil construction processes, procurement, and cost management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Experience working with project management and financial systems
  • Knowledge of Australian contract law and construction legislation
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying

What We Offer

  • Competitive remuneration and growth opportunities
  • Exposure to major civil infrastructure projects across Australia
  • Supportive and collaborative workplace culture
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Commitment to safety, integrity, and excellence in delivery
