As an Excavator Operator with O’Niels Civil, you’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality civil, residential, and commercial projects, including bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, drainage works, and major infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Do
- Operate excavators (5t–40t) safely and efficiently across various project sites.
- Perform bulk and detailed excavation, including rock removal, trenching, and site preparation.
- Assist in site preparation and earthworks for residential, commercial, and civil projects.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is operating safely and efficiently.
- Follow all site safety procedures and comply with Australian WHS standards.
- Collaborate with the site team to deliver projects on time and to specification.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an excavator operator in civil or construction projects.
- Familiarity with operating machines of various sizes, including mini, medium, and large excavators.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and site compliance.
- Ability to read plans and work with surveyors and site engineers.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or licenses preferred (e.g., High-Risk Work License – Excavator).
